The Nexus Station’s Therapeutic Dungeons & Dragons group combines the creativity and adventure of D&D with experiential group therapy. Through an original 10-week campaign, players build characters, solve problems, navigate relationships, and work together toward shared goals—all within a supportive therapeutic environment.
Gameplay provides natural opportunities to practice skills that can be difficult to develop through conversation alone. Therapeutic interventions and mindfulness strategies are incorporated into the campaign to help players:
What’s Included
The program includes 10 therapeutic group sessions, plus an individual 50-minute character-building session before the campaign begins. Each player also receives a personal set of dice, character sheet, customized miniature, and snacks.
