Who: Teens Grades 7-9th
What: Therapeutic Group for Teens with ADHD
Why: Helping teens improve executive functioning skills and provide tools and skills to manage ADHD related challenges.
Where: Nexus Station 620 Cantrill Dr. Occasional field trips and adventures.
When: Thursdays 3:30-5pm. Begins October 9th.
Cost: Monthly $300. Option to add a half hour monthly parent consultation for $35.
Cost includes materials for projects, adventues and field trips, snacks and team apparel.
What the avg. Adventure Team Day looks like:
Adventure team participants will come together for weekly challenges, projects and adventures that will allow each member to learn about and harness the powers of adhd while equipping each individual with the tools and skills neccesarry to navigate and manage the challenges that come with wielding a superpower.
Each session will run for 1.5 hours
The first 30 mns is focused on academics. how to prioritize and organize in a way that works with an adhd brain. Participants will spend this time organizing and prioritizing for the next week and reflecting on the week prior to continue improving each individual's academic capcacity.
Next hour will be spent immersed in an ongoing challenge, project or adventure designed to improve executive functioning skills, teach and practice emotional regulation techniques and experience the difficulties and successes of working as a team.
